For those who want to base themselves for any length of time, Everglades City is very central, with driving times to the east and west coasts of about one and a half hours, and there is even a ferry which leaves daily from a nearby island and takes only 3 hours to Key West instead of 4 - 5 hours by road.

For guests staying in the main hotel, there is ample parking, and for those staying in a villa, there is sufficient parking for a boat and vehicle beneath the apartment.

For guests bringing boats or wishing to hire them, we have a boat ramp and slips at no charge - even a cleaning table with fresh running water, and a place to wash your boat down after a hard days fishing or sightseeing. For those who are less energetic, a glorious pool to swim and laze around, (the pool is heated in the winter months) and we even supply the pool towels!!

During the winter months, there are several restaurants in the city to choose from. The Seafood Depot is located on the grounds of the hotel. However, for those who wish to cater for themselves, the 1 and 2 bedroom apartments offer full kitchen facilities, and there is also a double barbecue area for guests. Complimentary coffee and donuts are available in the main lodge from 8 am.
